A north London man has denied murdering two women in separate incidents last year, appearing via video link at the Old Bailey to enter his pleas.
Simon Levy, 40, from Tottenham, faces charges relating to the deaths of Carmenza Valencia-Trujillo, 54, and Sheryl Wilkins, 39, which occurred several months apart in different parts of the capital.
Valencia-Trujillo, originally from Colombia, was found dead in the stairwell of a derelict building in Walworth, Southwark, on 17 March last year. Levy was arrested approximately two weeks after her discovery but was released under investigation. Wilkins was subsequently found dead in a car park in Tottenham on 24 August, while Levy remained under investigation for the first death. He was arrested in September and charged with her murder before being additionally charged with the killing of Valencia-Trujillo in November.
Levy also pleaded not guilty to two counts of rape, grievous bodily harm and intentional suffocation, all alleged to have been carried out against a third woman in Tottenham in January 2025.
The Metropolitan Police has previously appealed for anyone with information relevant to the investigation, or who has not yet reported incidents they may have been affected by, to come forward.
Levy is due to stand trial at the Old Bailey in June for all alleged offences.
