Morrisons has launched a new travel booking platform allowing customers to earn loyalty points on holidays, hotel stays, and car hire.
The supermarket chain has partnered with Expedia Group to power Morrisons Travel, which offers bookings for hotels, car hire, flights, and activities. Customers can accumulate More Points through the service, with every pound spent on the platform earning 10 points, excluding flights.
Points earned via the travel service appear as “pending” in the More app following a reservation, before being fully added to accounts after the trip is completed. Once customers collect 5,000 points, they can convert them into a “Fiver” voucher worth £5 to spend in store or online.
Jamie Winter, Director of procurement at Morrisons, said the service was designed to offer greater value to shoppers. “We’re excited to be able to offer our customers even more reasons to shop at Morrisons with the launch of our new travel booking service, powered by Expedia Group,” he said.
“Customers can now book everything from flights to hotels through Morrisons while being rewarded through our More Card, once their trip is complete. This new service is designed to make life a little easier by offering more simple, good-value options in areas that really matter to our customers.”
The travel platform is now available on the Morrisons website and More app. Customers can also continue collecting points through supermarket shopping, online orders, Amazon groceries, and petrol purchases at Morrisons stations.
