A 43-year-old woman has been taken into police custody after an 18-day-old baby girl died following an incident at a residential property in Central London on Saturday morning. Metropolitan Police officers were called to Horseferry Road in Westminster at approximately 7.30am on March 14 after reports that an infant had fallen from a height. Around 70 firefighters and ten fire engines have been deployed to a fire on Hall Lane in Chingford, east London, after part of the roof of an end-of-terrace shop collapsed.The building, which has residential flats above the ground-floor commercial premises, was struck by the blaze with firefighters from the London Fire Brigade responding in significant numbers to tackle it.Part of the roof structure has already given way, raising concerns for the safety of the upper floors where flats are located.Residents in the surrounding area have been advised to avoid the vicinity as road closures are in place around the scene.…

At around 10pm on Sunday 1 March, the victim looked up from her phone to find a man exposing himself and masturbating while staring at her. Commuters travelling into central London are facing disruption on four Underground lines this Thursday morning, with the Jubilee line experiencing the worst of the problems. The Jubilee line is suffering severe delays after platform edge doors developed a fault at Canary Wharf, requiring engineers to attend the site. A 43-year-old man is in a life-threatening condition in hospital after a collision between a bus and a cyclist in Beckton, east London, with detectives now appealing for witnesses and dashcam footage.
