The Met Office has issued fresh amber warnings for snow and wind as Storm Goretti prepares to hit the UK, whilst parts of the country continue to battle existing winter conditions. Aberdeenshire Council declared a major incident following an earlier amber warning for heavy snow affecting much of Aberdeenshire and northeast Scotland. The storm, named by the French meteorological service Meteo France, is expected to move in from the South West on Thursday.
