A predatory sex offender from north London has been found guilty of four additional sexual offences following a complex Metropolitan Police investigation that began in 2019.
Ross Davidson, 37, of Station Road, Finchley, was convicted at Wood Green Crown Court on Wednesday of one count of sexual assault, one count of attempted rape and one count of rape. He had pleaded guilty to one count of voyeurism on the first day of the trial. The offences relate to two victims.
The convictions follow an earlier trial in July 2024, when Davidson was found guilty of one count of rape, two counts of sexual assault and one count of voyeurism involving four separate victims.
According to the Metropolitan Police, the investigation began when Davidson was arrested at his home in 2019. Officers seized his digital devices and uncovered multiple videos showing him raping and sexually assaulting victims.
Detective Constable Kamila Kedadrova, who was part of the investigation team, described Davidson’s behaviour as calculated and opportunistic. “Davidson is a prolific offender who carried out cowardly and opportunistic assaults against his victims,” she said.
On 24 July 2022, Davidson was charged with 17 sexual offences and remanded in custody. Following media coverage of these charges, a further victim came forward to report a rape that had occurred in March 2015. The woman told police she had woken up to find herself being raped by Davidson while staying with him at an address in London. He was charged with this offence on 24 April 2023.

Officers also reviewed videos recovered from Davidson’s devices. One recording showed a sexual assault that had been filmed without the victim’s consent. Met detectives were able to identify and trace the woman, and after specially trained officers made contact, she reported further offences.
The court heard that Davidson, who was in Thailand at the time of the 2019 offending, had attempted to rape a second victim. The woman had been woken by his actions and questioned him, prompting him to stop.
On 6 July 2024, Davidson was further charged with attempted rape, sexual assault and voyeurism. Following a 10-day trial, the jury returned guilty verdicts on the charges.
Detective Constable Kedadrova praised both the investigation team and the victims. “Our dedicated team of officers have worked with determination and care to secure the evidence which has proved essential in achieving today’s result,” she said. “I also commend the victims for their courage and support for the investigation.”
She emphasised the Metropolitan Police’s commitment to pursuing sexual offence cases. “The Met is committed to securing justice for victims of sexual offences, no matter when they occurred. Over the past five years, we have more than tripled arrests and charges for rape and serious sexual offences,” she said.
“All reports we receive will be taken seriously, while being treated with the upmost respect and care.”
Davidson will be sentenced at a later date. The sentencing will address both these convictions and his previous guilty verdicts.
The Met has made the safety of women and girls a priority and has rolled out new bespoke training on violence against women and girls to 23,000 officers and staff. According to the force, this training is strengthening officer skills to investigate these crimes, support those reporting, and deliver better outcomes for victims and survivors.
