A large fire has broken out at Queens Road Peckham railway station in south London, forcing the closure of the station and disrupting train services.
Video footage shared on social media showed flames and thick black smoke rising into the night sky above the station.
Thameslink confirmed services were unable to run through the affected area. Writing on X, the train operator stated: “Services are currently unable to run through Queens Road Peckham and this station is closed.”
Passengers were advised to seek alternative routes to complete their journeys whilst the incident was ongoing.
