Kelly Brook has opened up about her decision to sell the family home she lived in for 16 years, saying she needed to “shed some emotional baggage” before fully embracing her marriage to Italian partner Jeremy Parisi.
The television personality discussed her past relationships on an episode of Loose Women, mixing candour with humour as she explained how her former home had become a repository of difficult memories. She described the property as “very much my house” in which she “had various relationships through that” over nearly two decades.
Ms Brook, who is now married to Mr Parisi, explained that her previous relationships “left an indelible mark” she felt compelled to confront before moving forward. Living in the house became increasingly difficult as every room and object carried relational memories that “clung to her like shadows.”
The decision to sell was driven less by property concerns and more by a desire for self-renewal and emotional closure. Even seemingly insignificant possessions held memories, and Ms Brook connected the process of selling up with the idea of exorcising the “ghosts” of past relationships.
Her romantic history prior to Mr Parisi included high-profile relationships with actors Jason Statham and Billy Zane, as well as rugby players Thom Evans and Danny Cipriani. Her romance with Gladiators star David McIntosh, known as “Tornado,” proved particularly tumultuous, leading to a rapid engagement and equally swift breakup amid allegations of infidelity.
Ms Brook has had four engagements in total and experienced two miscarriages. On Loose Women, she showed candour about the emotional difficulty of transforming a home holding so many memories into a shared space with Mr Parisi.
Her attachment to the former property was intensified by the presence of her late father’s ashes in the garden, adding layers of family grief to the romantic associations with the house.
Ms Brook’s relationship with Mr Parisi began in 2015, despite him speaking no English when they first met. Their romance has largely remained away from public scrutiny, in contrast to some of her previous relationships. She notably declined one proposal from Mr Parisi because it was not private enough for her liking.
The couple eventually married in 2022 in a lavish Italian ceremony, seven years after they began their relationship. Ms Brook emphasised that she needed to clear out the emotional residue of old relationships before fully embracing life with her current partner.
