Passengers across London face significant disruption this weekend as two Tube lines, two Overground lines, and sections of the DLR and Elizabeth line are set to close for maintenance work.
The closures, scheduled for January 10 and 11, will affect travel in Newham, Camden, Westminster, Southwark, Tower Hamlets, Islington, and areas between Hillingdon and Maidenhead.
The Elizabeth line will have no service between West Drayton and Maidenhead until 8.45am on Sunday, January 11, due to Network Rail maintenance work. Passengers have been encouraged to use Tube services or local and replacement bus routes.
On the Windrush line, trains will not stop at Canada Water station from Saturday to Sunday, including during Friday and Saturday Night Overground services. After 10.15pm on Sunday, there will be no service between Highbury & Islington and Dalston Junction. Alternative routes include bus route C10 from Rotherhithe station or routes 188, N199 and 47 from Surrey Quays.
The Jubilee line faces two separate periods of disruption. Friday Night Tube services between Finchley Road and Stratford will not run from Friday evening to Saturday morning due to track work. The line will then see no service between Green Park and Stratford from Saturday to Sunday. Passengers have been advised to use alternative Night Tube, Night Bus, replacement bus services, or other rail options.
The Mildmay line will have no service between Gospel Oak and Richmond or Shepherd’s Bush throughout the weekend due to Network Rail maintenance work. Services between Stratford and Camden Road will also cease after 10.15pm on Sunday, with passengers encouraged to use local or replacement bus routes or Tube services.
The Hammersmith & City line will suspend services between Plaistow and Barking between 10am and 6pm on Sunday due to track work. The District line has been suggested as an alternative.
DLR services between Tower Gateway and Shadwell will not operate throughout the weekend due to third party engineering works. Passengers should use local bus routes instead.
The disruptions form part of planned maintenance and track work across the Transport for London network. Bus strikes have also been previously announced in the east of the capital.
